I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year! I’m sorry for not posting the girls’ latest YouTube videos, but I was pretty busy for the holidays. Sadly, I’m back home now, but gladly able to update you with the latest Dolly visuals! I’m way behind on the Dolly Mailer section of the site, but I’ll be getting back to work on it tonight. I don’t think I’ll complete it tonight, but I’ll do a little bit often. The gallery really needs to be updated, too. I’ll be spending a few days gathering images I have missed of the girls and will upload all of them when I am done. For now, if you missed these videos, enjoy some Dolly Rockers madness!

The girls sent out the Dolly Mailer yesterday, and along with their outfit of the day and current pick of eye candy, they posted their first ever cover for all of us to enjoy. The song of choice is Skyscraper by the mega-talented Demi Lovato. Personally, I think Demi’s a tough act to cover because her voice is incredible. The Dolly Rockers killed it with their version of the song! You get to see just how vocally talented all three girls are. The Dolly Rockers are the real deal, and it puts a smile on my face knowing I’ll be able to say “I called it” when they take over the music world. Too cheesy?

The girls say they’ll be posting a download link to the MP3 of their cover soon, which I will also be posting on here.

Onto business talk… I didn’t get a chance to work on the site as much as I wanted to yesterday, but I realized there’s more I want to do than I originally thought. It’s really just a matter of rewriting and organizing some pages, plus the addition of new sections. Graphics are what I have the least of, but I’ll make sure I’ll have a good variety by the time I post all the new material. I won’t even tell you when to expect all this to show up on the site because my plans change much too often. You can, however, expect to see updates on Dolly news again.

I know it’s been close to two months since the last update. I’m very sorry for neglecting the site! I’ve got a few things going on that have my full attention, so it became easy to forget to update on here. It’s very likely updates will be slow until the girls start with promotion and releases. There are a number of things that need to be added to the site, and a few things that were left unfinished before I dropped off the face of the planet. I’ll be working on those things bit by bit. I’ll make an update on everything that has been done once it’s all finished, which will be some time. The forum is filled with spam, but it’s not active anyway. I’ll get it cleaned up soon, and look into stopping the ridiculousness of the spam. I’ll be closing the registration, and since the number of true members is very low, there’s a good chance I’ll be switching to a new forum system. Whatever I decide, the forum will re-open once there’s more activity with the girls. If you’ve emailed me, I’ll also be checking the account. I’ll get everything completely caught up in time for the Dolly launch. =D

I think I covered all I needed to. I’m still here, and still supporting The Dolly Rockers more than ever! And lastly, thank you for the second shout out in your last mailer, girls. =) You make my ♥ happy!

The Dolly Mailer was sent out today! If you haven’t signed up yet, you must! You can sign up by clicking here. Along with the mailer, of course, came a video that was nothing short of amazing. The girls made a montage of them in the recording studio with RedOne. I saw a good amount of gif potential in there. =P I’d like to thank the girls for the shout out in the mailer! The traffic has definitely bumped up from your links. I really appreciate that. ♥ I’ll add the images from the Mailer to the gallery later today, and I will keep working on the Dolly Mailer section of the site so you can read past mailers.

When it comes to liking girlbands we seem to have an uncanny ability to curse them to flop, drop or split up. You only have to look at some of our favourite girlband albums from the past decade: Studio 1 by All Saints, Between The Sheets by The 411 and Devil’s Got Your Gold by Frank. All brilliant, all doomed. We struck again back in 2009 when the Dolly Rockers first emerged. Three brash and ballsy girls singing observational lyrics in heavy regional accents, dressed like the sort of lasses they interview for style tips during Snog, Marry, Avoid. We were in love. Unfortunately minimal promotion did their first single, ‘Gold Digger’ no favours and things went all quiet from the Dollies.

But that’s not the end of the story. After one member leaving and being replaced by a young lady who didn’t last long due to rumoured anti-Semitic comments, the line-up is now settled and more excitingly they’ve been signed to none other than RedOne’s label, Redwalk . They’ve been recording tracks with him, including a great song, ‘Guns and Roses’, that didn’t make the final cut for Nicole Scherzinger’s debut album, and rumoured upcoming single ‘Spin the Bottle’. Things finally look set to be happening for the girls, so fingers crossed we won’t jinx them again. You can keep up with their latest shenanigans by signing up to their mailing list.

A little late on getting the pictures from the dolly mailer uploaded into the gallery. Sorry about that. I’m going to be creating a page on the site with all the Dolly Mailers, so you can find them in one place. =) I’ve uploaded GIFS onto the Tumblr page, as well. I’ll be adding them here pretty soon. Click here to view GIFS. I plan on getting more uploads into the image gallery, working on the forum a little more and a Dolly Rockers Style section, as well!

I’m back home from my small getaway these past few days. I am currently working on a forum to have on here. It’d be really nice to get as many fans of The Dolly Rockers in one place.
